Railana Multimodal, UAB implements a project financed by the European Union – implementation of e-commerce solutions in the activities of Railana Multimodal, UAB

Objective of the project is the implementation of information technologies to manage business transactions electronically in order to increase income growth.

Railana Multimodal, UAB organizes freight transportation using various modes of transport: railways, ships, aircrafts, cars.

In order to increase the competitiveness of the company, it was decided to invest in this e-commerce model implementation project, which will enable customers to order, manage services, pay for them through a customer self-service solution. Due to the EU investments, the project will be implemented in a shorter period of time and on a larger scope, which will undoubtedly contribute to a greater increase in the company’s turnover.

After the implementation of the project, the created e-commerce system will allow the user to choose the necessary transportation, fill in the information required for the order, place an order and payment, monitor the execution of the order and see all the necessary documents related to the order in its account (self-service).

The project is implemented in the framework of 2014–2020 Operational Programme for the European Union Funds’ Investments under priority 13 “Promotion of actions to overcome the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and preparation for an environmentally friendly, digital and sustainable economic recovery”, instrument No. 13.1.1-LVPA-K-860 “E-commerce model for COVID-19”

The budget of the project – EUR 45,000.

The project is financed by the European Regional Development Fund as a measure of the European Union’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The period of project implementation – 9 months.
